Cycle Messenger World Championships, CMWC for short, are the professional world championships of the bicycle courier industry.
These competitions were held for the first time in 1993 in Berlin. Since then, with the exception of the pandemic years 2020 and 2021, they have been held annually at different venues. The highlight of each CMWC is the main race, where the daily routine of a bicycle messenger is simulated in qualification and final races over two days on a closed-off area.
Cycle Messenger Championships are more than just bicycle races. Of course, the focus is on the bicycle, but they are always accompanied by a cultural program for young and old.
Each of the previous world title competitions in this trendy industry has received a great deal of media attention and has been followed with interest by the general public.
